Madison "Maddie" McBride was born on August 10, 2186, in a small Ontario town. Maddie had a strong interest in sciences growing up, particularly in geology. In her first year of university, Maddie became aware of rumors about a substance called 'travolite' and read all of the material she could find. The beginning of the First Solar War interruped her studies, and she joined her parents and younger sister Kelly when they flew to Houston to be with their extended family. After the end of the war, Maddie and her parents joined the Protection to help rebuild Earth in the aftermath of the destruction. When her parents were killed by President Malvado, Maddie secretly took over her mother's attempts to build a Resistance, waiting for the right time to strike back at the Protection.
