Amanda Williams was born on June 11, 2192, in Houston, Texas. She spent much of her childhood wanting to be an author or journalist like her mother, whom she had a strong relationship with. In 2206, both of her parents were killed in attacks on the annual World Peace Dinner. With her older brother Joel on another planet, Amanda spent an uncertain week alone. Fortunately, Joel was able to return, and the two remained inseperable throughout the duration of the war. They eventually settled in a small town that became known as Nameless, along with their friends Chris Thomson and Kelly McBride.

After the end of the First Solar War, Amanda discovered a forest near Nameless that became a valued hang out spot for the friends. She also discovered the cave where the group found travolite, and was an important member of the Resistance in the Second Solar War.
